About the Project
What is Purpose Factory?
Purpose Factory is an initiative of the Global Shapers Stuttgart Hub that brings career orientation workshops directly to schools in socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods across Stuttgart.
We believe that every young person deserves access to guidance about their future — regardless of their background. Through interactive workshops, we encourage students to reflect on their interests and values, set concrete goals, and understand the opportunities that higher education can open for them.
Our workshops are designed to be hands-on and relatable: not just a lecture, but a real conversation about the future — led by young professionals who were once in the same seats.
Our Goals
Spark Reflection
Encourage students to actively think about who they want to become — their interests, strengths, and what kind of future they want to build.
Set Goals
Help young people translate their ideas into concrete, achievable goals — and give them tools to start working towards them today.
Broaden Horizons
Show students from all backgrounds that higher education is an option for them — and motivate them to aspire to educational pathways they may not have considered.
Impact
What we've achieved so far.
Through Purpose Factory, we have reached students at multiple schools in Stuttgart's socially disadvantaged neighbourhoods. Participants leave our workshops with a clearer sense of direction, greater confidence in their own potential, and a stronger motivation to pursue their educational and career goals.
